Overall "stopping distance" has two parts: "thinking time" and
"stopping time".

Using this idea, we can see that for any task, overall "preparation
time" has two parts: "procrastinating time" and "scampering time".

Not only descriptive, but potentially useful.

Theres an insight in there somewhere. I can *smell* it.

Something about the perceived overall "preparation time" influencing the
allocation of "procrastinating time"; and something else about it not
being a simple linear addition.

(I bet it ends up with a differential equation. Its always a fucking
differential equation.)

I think there is another factor.

They want us to do differential equations!

Can do differential equations, wont do differential equations!
